The 12th District Court Division Civil division is responsible for processing civil cases, including general civil action up to $25,000, summary proceedings (landlord/tenant matters) and small claims suits (up to $3000). The action must have taken place in Jackson County or the defendant must reside in Jackson County. The division schedules wedding ceremonies performed by a judge or magistrate.
